poultry farmer in chicken farm

In the process of raising chickens, the comprehensive nutrition of feed is the key to ensure the high yield of laying hens. In some cases, the eggshells produced by laying hens are easy to be thin and easy to break, the color will be lighter, and some laying hens also be keel bending, soft legs and weak legs, leg bones are very brittle, easy to break and other symptoms, this phenomenon indicates that the laying hens are deficient in calcium, but what causes the lack of calcium in the hens? The layer cage manufacturer Dingtuo came to analyze the farmers.

1.Laying hens have insufficient calcium content in feed: farmers should know that calcium is a nutrient for laying hens and laying eggs. It should be adjusted according to the growth and laying of laying hens. The formation of eggshells requires a lot of calcium. Therefore, during the laying period, the farmers should pay attention to the work of calcium supplementation on the laying hens. If the laying hens can’t get the standard calcium and can’t freely eatthe sand, they will cause calcium deficiency.

2. Vitamin D in feed has an important effect on laying hens. If the lack of vitamin D in the feed  will affect the balance of calcium and phosphorus in the feed, and deposition on the bones, the calcium will not be obtained. Effective absorption, the phenomenon of calcium deficiency occurs;

3. the ratio of calcium and phosphorus in the feed is unreasonable: farmers should pay attention to the proportion of calcium and phosphorus in the feed has a great impact on calcium absorption; excessive phosphorus will affect the absorption of calcium, when the ratio of calcium to phosphorus is maintained at 2:1 ~ 1.5 : 1 is most beneficial to the absorption of both. The ratio of calcium, phosphorus and vitamin D3 has an effect on the eggshell strength, with 3.0% to 3.5% calcium and 0.45% phosphorus being the best, and the vitamin D3 standard is preferably 10% to 12% of the vitamin A standard. Calcium determines the brittleness of the eggshell, and phosphorus determines the elasticity of the eggshell;

4. If the feed has too much fatty acid and oxalic acid, it will combine with calcium to form insoluble calcium salts, which will affect the absorption of calcium;

5. If the laying hens have squat disease, the calcium absorption will be reduced. Therefore, the farmers should observe the health of the chickens in a diligent manner. If abnormalities are found, timely diagnosis and treatment should be carried out to prevent the disease from affecting the absorption of nutrients and the performance of laying eggs. Play

6.long-term cage and lack of light: Most farmers now raise chickens in the cages,and  most of the chicken houses are closed, so the hens and chickens are not effectively illuminated, At this time, farmers need to purchase lighting equipment for artificial lighting, but if the farmers do not carry out timely, it will affect the calcium absorption of the laying hens, and when the supplemented calcium is less, calcium deficiency will also occur.
